Bollywood thriller and awaited movie Kahaani stars Vidya Balan and Parambrata Chatterjee in lead roles. The movie is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Vidya Balan plays a pregnant woman role which in search of her husband and the father of the child.
Kahaani will be Vidya Balan's successive and second female-centric film after The Dirty Picture. Kahaani is scheduled to release on March 9, 2012.
Kahaani is reported to be partially inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster Kill Bill, which was directed by Quentin Tarantino and starred Uma Thurman.
Kahaani produced by Ghosh, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Pen India Private Limited.
Kahaani has been extensively shot in Kolkata, which incidentally is Vidya Balan’s favourite city.
After The Dirty Picture, expectations are very high from Vidya Balan.
