Virendra Sehwag announced as a captain for the ODI series against West Indies, as regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni being rested for the series. Sachin Tendulkar also rested for the series. Yuvraj Singh is not in the squad, as he declared unfit by himself. Harbhajan Singh again fail to find a place in the squad.
