I will wait for Salman: Sooraj Barjatya
Filmmaker and director Sooraj Barjatya recently announced his new movie with Salman Khan as hero. He is also the director of the movie. He said that he will wait and hold his project for the Salman Khan.
“Salman is the perfect Prem for my story, which I’m still developing. But now, after reading about his health, I’m worried. I don’t want to risk his health for my movie,” says Sooraj, adding, “I don’t mind waiting for him for two to three years if that’s what it will take for him to get cured.”
“I don’t like starting too many things at once. I was busy setting up the TV division with my sister. Now that the department is working fine, I can come back to movies,” says the 47-year-old filmmaker. “I met Salman with a one-line story idea. He liked it and agreed to shoot in December-January (2013). I still have to show him the final script, but given our association, it will only remain a formality.”
Sooraj’s 21-year-old son, Devaansh, will also make his debut behind the camera. He’ll assist his father on the film. “I don’t know if he’ll stick around in the business, but he has shown keenness,” he says. “So, I’ve given him an opportunity. I hope he takes over the reigns from me someday.”

SP will get majority, Mulayam will be next CM: Akhilesh Yadav
With just a day left for counting of votes, the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Monday said it was hopeful of getting a majority in Uttar Pradesh and party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav will become the next chief minister.
"We have a done a lot of hard work to ensure the success of the party and are hopeful of getting majority," SP state president Akhilesh Yadav told reporters in Lucknow.
Asked about the chief ministerial candidate of the party, Akhilesh said that 'netaji' (Malayam Singh Yadav) was everyone's choice.
"The elected legislators will decide, who will be the next CM. I think netaji is everyone's choice and will become the CM," he said.
About post-poll alliances, Yadav said that the situation would become clear after the counting.
On Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma's comment pitching for support to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Yadav said that it was his views and his party has to decide on it.
With exit polls predicting a hung Assembly in Uttar Pradesh, Verma, who quit Samajwadi Party in 2007 following differences with Mulayam Singh Yadav, said he would personally prefer BSP to SP, which he dubbed as a "party of goons".

Exit polls best for entertainment channels: Quraishi
Amid a flurry of exit polls predicting the outcome of assembly elections ahead of the March 6 results, chief election commissioner SY Quraishi on Sunday said such surveys should at best be on entertainment channels.
"Opinion and exit polls should at best be on entertainment channels!," Quraishi tweeted this afternoon, taking a dig at the surveys.
The reaction of the CEC, who made his Twitter debut on February 29, came as television channels were busy predicting government formations and possible political fallouts of the current assembly elections in the five states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur since the exercise ended yesterday.
The Election Commission had banned exit polls till March 3, till the completion of assembly elections in the five states.
Quraishi brushed aside criticism of the poll body on the notices and action taken against some ministers during the high voltage campaign, saying it was part of the game and the EC has taken it in its stride.
He, however, expressed anguish at people accusing the EC of "bias."
"It hurts when people accuse me of bias," he said on Sunday.
The CEC had earlier refused to comment on speculation about election results and possible political alliances, saying, "when elections end, politics starts.
"Our job is to conduct free and fair polls. And, we have done our job pretty well," he said.

Congress will get 'at least one hundred' seats in UP: Digvijay Singh
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh today said that he did not believe the exit polls' prediction that his party would win less than 40 seats in the Uttar Pradesh assembly election.
"We all know that exit polls have gone wrong in the past, and this will happen now again," he said, talking to PTI in Bhopal.
Asked how many seats he expected Congress to win, Singh said: "At least one hundred."
He added that exit polls could go wrong because of a number of factors, including the fact that they are based on responses of very few.
"In a state where crores of people cast their vote, you cannot make any assessment simply by talking to a few thousand persons," the Congress general secretary said.
Asked what he thought of the exit polls' prediction that Samajwadi Party could even get an absolute majority on its own, Singh said, "Impossible."
