Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan still finds it difficult to be a part of song and dance routines in films.
The 69-year-old veteran actor said he feels "inadequate and useless" singing or dancing while he is around the best professionals in the industry.
"Song and dance have always been a major crisis for me. Moving singing expressing among some exquisite professionals, makes you feel so inadequate and useless.
"Covering up is also a major deterrent. We are seen and observed in song, unlike perhaps an acting scene, where one could merely speak to a wall and not have the compulsion to face the camera. But here in song, with the broadest smile, giving impression of great fulfilment and happiness can be one of the most fake expressions ever devised by actors," Bachchan wrote on his blog.
The actor, who will recreate his iconic entry scene in the song My Name is Anthony Gonsalves for son Abhishek Bachchan's Bol Bachchan, is also going to sing the song.
"I work tomorrow on the Bol Bachchan song, one that I have been asked to sing and perform on. I have through the years discovered, that lip syncing your own singing can be most tormenting."
